Of all the cities this service reaches, Kuantan makes the case for online tuition most bluntly. The Klang Valley has specialist 0620 tutors students must merely reach; Kuantan has none to reach. The east coast’s tuition industry (and Kuantan’s is a busy one) runs entirely on the national syllabus, because that’s what the overwhelming local majority sits. A Cambridge IGCSE candidate here isn’t underserved. Until online lessons, the candidate was unserved.
Who actually sits 0620 in Kuantan
The city’s Cambridge community is smaller than KL’s but more determined, because everything about it is deliberate. A handful of private and international-stream schools around Kuantan carry students toward Cambridge qualifications. The larger and faster-growing group is homeschoolers: the east coast has one of Malaysia’s most committed home-education networks, and its families register children as private candidates for the May/June and Oct/Nov sittings.
